No Surprises Act
Seele Collective, LLC
Counseling services provided by Allison Gidusko, MS, LAPC
Pennsylvania · primarily telehealth
This page explains federal No Surprises Act protections that are most relevant to Seele’s counseling services, especially for people who are uninsured or self-pay (not using insurance for these services).
It is not a complete summary of every No Surprises Act rule. Many No Surprises Act provisions address hospital emergency care, air ambulances, and certain out-of-network facility-based billing situations that do not describe Seele’s solo counseling practice. Those topics are omitted here on purpose.

What this means at Seele
Seele is a behavioral-health counseling practice. Care is provided by Allison Gidusko, MS, LAPC. Services are currently offered primarily by telehealth and are commonly arranged on a private-pay / self-pay basis while Seele works toward participation with select insurance plans.
If you are uninsured, or you have insurance but are not using it to pay for Seele’s services, federal rules generally require Seele to provide a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges for scheduled care (or upon request). See Seele’s Good Faith Estimate page for details on timing, what an estimate is, and how to request one.
Protections that matter here
1. Good Faith Estimate for uninsured / self-pay care
When you schedule care at least three business days in advance, or when you ask, you should receive a written estimate of expected charges for the scheduled services from this provider.
2. Right to dispute certain bills
If your bill from this provider is at least $400 higher than that provider’s Good Faith Estimate, you may be able to use the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process. There are deadlines and procedural requirements (including a time limit measured from the initial bill). See CMS resources linked on the Good Faith Estimate page.
3. Transparency
You should be able to understand expected costs before care when you are not using insurance, and to compare later bills against the estimate you received.
What this page does not cover
This page does not attempt to explain:
emergency-department balance-billing rules,
air-ambulance protections,
hospital/facility out-of-network surprise-billing scenarios involving multiple facility-based clinicians,
unless and until Seele’s service model changes in a way that makes those topics applicable.
If you have insurance and intend to use it, ask Seele about current insurance participation status, benefits, and any required notices. Insurance-related surprise-billing rules can differ from the uninsured/self-pay Good Faith Estimate process.
